Japan, Church, Mornings

Each grade at Celia's school studies a special unit that they then present at the end of the school year.  Last year Kindergarten did Africa and this year First grade did Japan.  They presented a special song in Japanese with hand motions.  Celia and another girl lead the hand motions.  They then set up different tables in the classroom.

The students wrote goals and made these little things.
They are called Daruma dolls

They also showed off the print making

Celia's table had the special socks (tabi) with traditional footwear in Japan

The students did a great job!

If you can see her little head, Celia read the opening and close prayer for our Children's Sunday last weekend.  She did a great job.  She also sang as part of the choir.  Audrey sang too.  They honored the pre-k teacher at the church's daycare center.  We have used our church's center since Celia was 1.  The pre-k teacher is amazing.  I can not wait until Audrey has her next year.

This was this morning.  Celia has no school today and she was dancing and hopping around her room.  Audrey acted like normal human beings do in the morning and was chilling in a bean bag, relaxing.  Notice "fluffy".

Art Show

Celia's school had an evening of the arts tonight.
Samples of the artwork from the year was showcased at her school.
It was a quick walk through of the school however it was absolutely amazing.

It was very cool to see her art work

We also enjoyed looking at the artwork from all the other students

This little peanut got in the photo action too

Mothers Day Photos

Audrey was the first child to wish me Happy Mother's Day.  She wondered into Celia's room, plopped herself on Celia's bean bag and grinned and said "Happy Mother's Day Mommy".  I thought, how sweet and I gave her a kiss.  I thought incorrectly that this would be a nice morning.  I was incorrect….

This pretty much summed up 75% of our day and I have no clue why.
It just was NOT her day.  We have not had this in a long time.
She went to bed with reflux symptoms but that is not new.
She went to bed a little late 2 nights in a row, maybe that.
She is Audrey, that could be it.

Yes, this one was in a good mood.
She has spent the last few days in a pony tail.
The child that has fought my attempts at putting any part of her hair up just decided Friday that she wanted her hair in a pony tail.  So we went with it.  I think it is her frustration with having curls, even though they are beautiful.  When she takes the pony tail out her hair is a big huge poof ball and it is hilarious.

So overall Mothers Day was nice.  Pete did some extra cleaning and laundry and grilled tonight.  I could have done without Audrey's mood, but we all have those days.
