Each grade at Celia's school studies a special unit that they then present at the end of the school year. Last year Kindergarten did Africa and this year First grade did Japan. They presented a special song in Japanese with hand motions. Celia and another girl lead the hand motions. They then set up different tables in the classroom.
The students wrote goals and made these little things.
They are called Daruma dolls
They also showed off the print making
Celia's table had the special socks (tabi) with traditional footwear in Japan
The students did a great job!
If you can see her little head, Celia read the opening and close prayer for our Children's Sunday last weekend. She did a great job. She also sang as part of the choir. Audrey sang too. They honored the pre-k teacher at the church's daycare center. We have used our church's center since Celia was 1. The pre-k teacher is amazing. I can not wait until Audrey has her next year.
This was this morning. Celia has no school today and she was dancing and hopping around her room. Audrey acted like normal human beings do in the morning and was chilling in a bean bag, relaxing. Notice "fluffy".
